Zeng Qianyao was awarded the "Young Historian of the Year Award 2023" and received media coverage, including in Sing Tao Daily (December 24), Ming Pao (December 27), and Asia Weekly (Issue 24, Issue 1). The report mentioned Qianyao's graduation from our school and her views on Chinese history education. In addition, Zeng Qianyao was appointed by the Federation of Literary and Art Circles as the inaugural Chairperson of the Student Cultural Ambassador Center, and will work with the association to plan and promote Chinese cultural activities. (See attached screenshot: "Federation of Literary and Art Circles Newsletter, October 2023) Zeng Qianyao is currently a first-year student in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Hong Kong. While in high school, she was recognized as a Student Cultural Ambassador by the Federation of Literary and Art Circles ("Hong Kong Federation for the Development of Chinese Culture").
Zeng Qianyao specializes in Chinese History, winning first prize in Hong Kong for Chinese History Studies in Form 5. In Form 6, she entered the Faculty of Arts at the University of Hong Kong through the University's Direct Admission Scheme. Besides being a freshman, she also holds public office (as a member of the Tai Po District Youth Community Development Committee) and is the head coach of her alma mater's debate team. She recently returned to campus on January 26th to co-organize the Inter-Community Debate Competition to cultivate new talent.
