校報刊出「名家學術講座」- 中大前校長金耀基教授演講精華
本校有幸於四月三十日請到金耀基教授進行「名家學術講座」，精華內容及照片已刊於校報，講座主題為「生當有夢-與金耀基教授對談AI新時代下的閱讀意義與人生價值」。見以下附件。
金教授現為香港中文大學榮休社會學講座教授及台北中央研究院院士，他曾任香港中文大學校長、中文大學新亞書院院長、大學社會學講座教授等。講座中，金教授介紹了自己在台灣讀書時感興趣的書籍類型，並簡略探討他在《從傳統到現代》這本書中提出的中國現代化理論的基本內容。
金教授在50年代的台灣遇到國文老師紀弦，自此對古典文學產生興趣。他指出中國古代以儒家思想為根本的農耕文明，形成天下格局，而西方國家則在發現新大陸後產生世界的思想，中國在鴉片戰爭後淪為世界格局中的落後經濟體。
中國現代化理論涵蓋從傳統到現代的路徑，需通過工業化、科學化打破封閉體系，不僅是技術發展，更是觀念革新，讓中國從全方面走向現代化。中國現代化是文明轉型的漫長過程，需平衡傳統與創新，在全球化中重新定位自身角色，從傳統的天下格局中融合現代的世界格局，使中國在保留自身特色的同時加入世界的版圖中。
